Jay Prabha Medanta Super Specialty Hospital in Kankarbagh, Patna was established in 2020 under a public-private partnership between the Medanta group and the Government of Bihar. Spread over one million sq ft, it is described as the largest private hospital in Patna.
The hospital has 601 operational beds, including more than 175 ICU beds and 13 operation theatres, after adding 131 beds in FY 2025-26, with more than 400 doctors, 2,200 trained staff and over 29 super specialities.
Key centres include cardiac care, neurosciences, cancer care, gastrosciences, renal care, orthopaedics, gynaecology and gynae-oncology, obstetrics, and plastic, aesthetic and reconstructive surgery.
Technology includes CyberKnife for non-invasive radiosurgery, 128-slice and 256-slice CT scanners, an Artis Zeego endovascular surgical cath lab and electrophysiology recording systems, enabling carotid stenting and complex cardiac interventions.
The hospital brings Medanta's tertiary care to a catchment of over 150 million people in Bihar and neighbouring regions, and international patients are supported through Medanta's international patient desk, trip planning and cost estimate services.
