Apollo Children's Hospital is a dedicated 70-bed paediatric hospital of the Apollo Hospitals group in central Chennai, close to the flagship Apollo Hospitals on Greams Road. Exclusively for children, it handles more than 300 outpatient visits a day and offers comprehensive care across 21 paediatric specialities.
Its paediatric cardiology unit is nationally recognised, managing over 10,000 children and adults with heart disease every year, and its paediatric cardiac surgery programme is regarded as one of the leading centres in the country. The hospital also runs one of the largest paediatric bone marrow transplant programmes in India, along with dedicated heart, liver and kidney transplant programmes for children.
The paediatric urology service is a pioneer in robotic paediatric surgery and runs one of the largest robotic surgery programmes in the country, while the paediatric endocrinology department is one of India's largest specialist services for childhood endocrine and diabetic disorders, using continuous glucose monitoring and insulin pump therapy.
Advanced critical care includes a Paediatric Intensive Care Unit, Paediatric High Dependency Unit and cardiac ICUs supported by ECMO, continuous renal replacement therapy and high-frequency ventilation. A 24-hour paediatric emergency with resuscitation bay and trauma room, and road and air transport for critically ill children, ensure rapid access to care.
International families are supported by a dedicated International Patient Services team offering visa assistance, airport pick-up, accommodation, travel arrangements, language interpretation and dedicated coordinators throughout the child's treatment.

ABOUT INFRASTRUCTURE
The 70-bed hospital has a Paediatric Intensive Care Unit, a Paediatric High Dependency Unit, cardiac ICUs and dedicated paediatric cardiac operating rooms. Critical care technology includes VV and VA ECMO, continuous renal replacement therapy, high-frequency ventilation and USCOM and PiCCO cardiac output monitoring.
Diagnostic and specialty equipment includes 3D transthoracic and transoesophageal echocardiography, a CT scanner and digital radiology suite, point-of-care ultrasound, video EEG telemetry with a neurophysiology laboratory, audiology testing for cochlear implant surgery, pulmonary function testing, paediatric sleep studies and laser therapy for skin conditions, along with robotic and minimally invasive surgical systems.
