ABOUT HOSPITAL
Apollo Excelcare, Guwahati is a 180-bed multi-speciality tertiary care hospital on NH-37 at Paschim Boragaon. Originally commissioned in 2017 as Excelcare Hospitals, it became part of the Apollo Hospitals group after Apollo Hospitals Enterprise Limited, through its subsidiary Assam Hospitals Ltd., acquired a majority stake of about 64 percent in the operating company, Asclepius Hospitals & Healthcare Pvt. Ltd., after which the hospital was rebranded.
It is the second Apollo group hospital in Northeast India and is positioned as a regional referral centre for the Northeast, bringing cardiac, neuro and paediatric care together with general medical consultations, diagnostics and surgical procedures on one campus.
Key clinical strengths include cardiac interventions and cardiac surgery, neurosurgery and stroke management, paediatrics including paediatric cardiology and paediatric nephrology, endocrinology and joint replacement surgery. The hospital holds a licence for organ transplantation and its renal (kidney) transplant programme began in 2020.
The hospital provides round-the-clock accident and emergency care and has a fully equipped blood bank. It handles more than 400 outpatient visits a day, and online consultations and second opinions are available through the Apollo 24|7 platform.
Apollo Excelcare receives patients from neighbouring countries including Bhutan, Bangladesh and Myanmar. Apollo's International Patient Services team assists overseas patients with medical visas, travel, accommodation and language interpretation.

ABOUT INFRASTRUCTURE
Apollo Excelcare is a 180-bed tertiary care hospital with all its services located on a single campus on NH-37, with room for expansion of a further 100 to 150 beds.
The hospital is equipped for advanced interventional cardiac and neurological procedures and holds an organ transplant licence, with a renal transplant programme running since 2020. Support services include a 24x7 accident and emergency department and a fully equipped blood bank.
