His special interests include neurovascular surgery, neuro-oncology, spine surgery, paediatric neurosurgery and stereotactic and functional neurosurgery. He is skilled in awake craniotomy, deep brain stimulation, spinal cord stimulators, minimally invasive and endoscopic spine surgery, and epilepsy surgery for both children and adults. Awake craniotomy allows tumours near critical brain areas such as speech centres to be removed while the patient is monitored, reducing the risk of neurological deficit.
In paediatric neurosurgery he manages congenital anomalies, childhood brain tumours such as medulloblastoma, hydrocephalus, endoscopic third ventriculostomy and shunt surgery, and he also treats traumatic brain and spinal cord injuries.
