He has performed more than 7,000 elective neurosurgical operations, including minimally invasive and neurotrauma surgery.
His spine practice includes microdiscectomy for slipped discs, spinal fixation for instability and spondylolisthesis, vertebroplasty and surgery for spinal trauma, while his neurotrauma work covers head and spinal injuries. He also manages cerebrovascular conditions such as intracranial bleeds and aneurysms, and his patients have undergone procedures such as transsphenoidal surgery for pituitary tumours.
Dr. Rajasekhar Reddy was awarded the V. S. Ram Avatar Medal as Best Outgoing Student in MCh Neurosurgery (2007), secured first rank in the MCh Neurosurgery entrance examination at Osmania Medical College, received the Dr. Madhira Dasaradhi Ram Memorial Prize from NTR University of Health Sciences and was Best Outgoing Student in MS General Surgery in the Andhra region. He is a member of the Neurological Society of India and has presented papers at NSICON and AP Neurocon on cerebral abscess, diffuse axonal injury and vein of Galen malformation.
