- Dr. Maheshwari is a committed academician with more than 90 publications in peer-reviewed journals and over 135 published abstracts. He has authored about ten book chapters and co-edited two textbooks, the Atlas of Endourology and USI's Clinical Urology: A Practical Approach. He is on the editorial committee of the Indian Journal of Urology and on the review panel of more than 45 journals and of conferences such as USICON, AUA, SIU and WZ-USICON.
- He served on the advisory board that established the SAARC Association of Urologic Surgeons and is now a member of its scientific committee, and was National Delegate of the World Endourology Society from 2003 to 2005. His honours include the Urology Gold Medal of the West Zone chapter of the Urological Society of India (2020) and best reviewer awards from the Indian Journal of Urology (2022-2024) and the Journal of Endourology (2021-2023).
