From 2013 to 2024 he served as Medical Director and Head of Retina-Vitreous Services at Centre for Sight, Hyderabad, before taking up the lead of Retina-Vitreous Services at Yashoda Eye Institute, Hitec City in July 2024.
- His clinical expertise covers diabetic retinopathy including vitreous surgery, retinal detachment, vitreous haemorrhage, scleral buckling, retinal vascular disorders, retinal dystrophies and uveitis. He offers retinal laser, cryotherapy and anti-VEGF injections, supported by diagnostics such as fundus fluorescein angiography, indocyanine green angiography, OCT and OCT angiography, B-scan and UBM ultrasonography and wide-field fundus photography. His special interests include age-related macular degeneration, myopia-related retinal detachment, retinal vascular occlusions and retinal vasculitis.
- Dr. Majji has more than 63 peer-reviewed publications, with work on endophthalmitis, age-related macular degeneration and intravitreal steroid therapy, and has been invited faculty at more than 375 conferences. He has served as an FRCS examiner for around 20 years.
- He has held leading positions in Indian ophthalmology, serving as Vice President, President-Elect and President of the All India Ophthalmological Society (2016-2020), Chairman of the AIOS Academic and Research Committee (2012-2014), and President (2014-2016), Vice President (2012-2014) and Joint Secretary (2003-2006) of the Vitreo-Retina Society of India.
- He is a member of ARVO, the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the Vitreous Society, Club Vit, AIOS, VRSI and several state ophthalmological societies. He consults in English, Telugu and Hindi.
