- Her clinical practice covers diabetic retinopathy, age-related macular degeneration, retinal venous occlusions, myopia-related retinal problems and uveitis. These conditions can cause gradual or sudden vision loss, and she uses retinal imaging, laser photocoagulation and intravitreal injections to preserve and restore sight.
- Dr. Gupta received the Prof. Yasuo Tano Fellowship at the 5th APVRS, Singapore in 2010 and the Best Paper Award at the All India Ophthalmological Society Conference in 2006. She was a Co-Investigator in the project on cost-effective diabetic retinopathy screening in urban slums of Delhi, which won the Sightsavers Innovation Fund Award.
- She has been an investigator in several clinical trials in vitreo-retina and community ophthalmology projects and has presented numerous papers at national and international conferences. She is a member of the Delhi Ophthalmological Society, the All India Ophthalmological Society and the Indian Medical Association.
