Her cataract practice includes more than 300 phacoemulsification procedures with intraocular lens implantation. In one notable case, she restored useful vision in a 13-year-old boy with a dense corneal scar from a firecracker injury through penetrating keratoplasty and an iris claw IOL.
- Dr. Wasnik has published in leading international journals, including Cornea (2015), Ophthalmology (2016), the British Journal of Ophthalmology (2017), the American Journal of Ophthalmology (2018) and Ophthalmic Epidemiology (2018), with research on in vivo confocal microscopy and severe microbial keratitis. She has presented numerous posters at Keracon and AIOS conferences on keratoconus, collagen cross-linking, allergic conjunctivitis, dry eye and multifocal IOLs.
