Earlier, she worked as Assistant Professor in Radiation Oncology at the Gujarat Cancer and Research Institute, Ahmedabad, one of the busiest tertiary cancer centres in the country, from August 2015 to December 2017.
- She pursued an international fellowship in extra-cranial Stereotactic Body Radiotherapy (SBRT) at the University of Ottawa, Canada, from January to December 2018, gaining expertise in state-of-the-art treatment technologies. She is a UK registered Clinical Oncologist and a Fellow of the Royal College of Radiologists.
- Her clinical expertise includes radiation therapy for breast, head and neck, oesophageal, rectal and anal canal cancers and gynaecological malignancies such as cervical and uterine cancer. For breast cancer she uses advanced techniques including 4D-gated treatment, deep inspiratory breath hold (DIBH) and prone breast radiotherapy, which help protect the heart and lungs. She is an expert in SBRT for lung, liver and prostate cancers, SRS for brain tumours, IMRT, VMAT and brachytherapy.
- With a special interest in cancer genetics, she trained at the Cancer Genetics Clinic at Tata Memorial Hospital and guides patients on genetic testing and surveillance strategies. She serves on the editorial board of the Indian Journal of Cancer, is founder and chief editor of Update RadOnc, and has authored numerous publications on SBRT, brachytherapy and radiation oncology practice.
- She is a Life Member of the Association of Radiation Oncologists of India (AROI), the Indian College of Radiation Oncology (ICRO) and the Indian Brachytherapy Society (IBS).
