She went on to work as Senior Radiation Oncologist at Continental Hospital, Hyderabad (2018-2020) and at American Oncology Institute, Hyderabad (2020-2024), before returning to Yashoda Hospitals, Hitec City as Senior Consultant and Clinical Director.
Her practice covers the full range of modern radiation techniques, including IMRT, RapidArc, image-guided radiotherapy (IGRT) and adaptive therapies, which shape the radiation dose precisely to the tumour while sparing surrounding healthy tissue. She also delivers image-guided brachytherapy and intraoperative radiotherapy (IORT), stereotactic body radiotherapy (SBRT) for lung and liver tumours, and stereotactic radiosurgery and radiotherapy (SRS/SRT) for brain tumours.
Gynaecological cancers are her special interest, particularly MR-guided interstitial hybrid and template brachytherapy for cervical and other gynaecological malignancies, in which radioactive sources are placed directly within or next to the tumour. She also treats breast, head and neck, gastrointestinal and soft tissue cancers, and offers re-irradiation and organ preservation protocols for selected patients.
Dr. Suneetha is a recipient of the Indira Priyadarshini Young Doctor Award and a member of the Association of Radiation Oncologists of India (AROI). She has published papers in peer-reviewed journals, presented at national and international conferences and workshops, and has spoken on topics such as adaptive therapy and artificial intelligence in radiation oncology.
