- On returning to Hyderabad, she worked as Consultant Paediatric and Perinatal Cardiologist at Fernandez Hospitals, Rainbow Hospitals/Vijaymarie Hospital and Lotus Children's Hospital, and served as Chief Consultant Paediatric Cardiologist at Apollo Health City, Hyderabad from 2013 to 2022, before joining CARE Hospitals as Clinical Director.
- Her clinical expertise covers paediatric cardiology, structural heart interventions, fetal cardiology and fetal echocardiography, imaging in congenital heart disease, pulmonary hypertension and transoesophageal echocardiography. Fetal echocardiography allows heart defects to be detected before birth so that delivery and early treatment can be planned, while catheter-based structural interventions can close holes in the heart or open narrowed valves and vessels without open-heart surgery.

Her honours include the Best Abstract in Interventional Paediatric Cardiology at the PCSI 21st Annual Conference (2021), the Wayne State University School of Medicine College Teaching Award (2007), the AMA Physician's Recognition Award (2004-2007), the AHA/Wyeth-Ayerst Women in Cardiology Travel Grant (2002) and selection as a finalist for the Wolf Zuelzer Research Award (2001). She has published peer-reviewed original reports, case reports, a review article and book chapters on fetal and neonatal cardiology, congenital heart disease, pacemaker leads, exercise performance in children and Kawasaki disease.
- She is a member of the American Heart Association, the American College of Cardiology, the American Association of Physicians of Indian Origin, the Pulmonary Hypertension Association, the Paediatric Cardiac Society of India, the Indian Academy of Paediatrics and the Indian Society of Perinatology and Reproductive Biology.
