These areas include conditions such as growth and puberty problems in children, osteoporosis and calcium and vitamin D disorders, and pituitary and other hormone-producing tumours that affect the body's endocrine balance.
Dr. Bande received a research grant of Rs. 2,00,000 from the Endocrine Society of India in 2017 for his study on serum FGF21 levels in hyperthyroidism and their relation to body fat percentage, which was published in the Indian Journal of Endocrinology and Metabolism in 2019. He has also published on non-genetic risk factors for mild cognitive impairment in the elderly and authored book chapters on diabetic nephropathy and on the Asian phenotype and diabetes in RSSDI Diabetes Update 2018.
He actively writes patient-education articles on hormonal imbalance and endocrine disorders, including in Telugu, and won third place in a quiz competition held by KRSSDI Mangalore in 2014. He consults in English, Hindi and Telugu.
