He performs ERCP, diagnostic and therapeutic EUS with FNAC and biopsy, EUS-guided treatment of gastric varices, upper GI endoscopy and colonoscopy, magnification endoscopy, endoscopic mucosal resection, stricture dilatation, band ligation, sclerotherapy, endoscopic bleeding control, double-balloon enteroscopy, foreign body removal, endoscopic tube placement and ultrasound-guided liver biopsy. He also manages chronic liver disease, hepatitis, fatty liver disease, inflammatory bowel disease, bloating and chronic constipation, and offers plasma exchange for liver failure.
- Dr. Krishna Bharadwaj is an active researcher with around 15 journal publications, mainly on coagulation testing in endoscopy and pancreatitis, gastric varices, ulcerative colitis and liver failure, and more than a dozen presentations at meetings including ESGE Days, UEG Week, ECCO and PANCREAS. He was one of 40 clinicians from over 20 countries selected to review the ECCO 2026 ulcerative colitis guidelines and serves as a peer reviewer for several gastroenterology journals.
- His awards include the Best DM/DNB Thesis Award of the Indian Society of Gastroenterology (2025), the Prof. V.I. Mathan Award of the ISG Tamil Nadu chapter (2026), the Dr. B.S. Ramakrishna Award for research at CMC Vellore (2024), first prize for oral presentation at PANCREAS 2025, and the Indian Journal of Gastroenterology reviewer award and editorial fellowship (2025). He is a life member of ISG, INASL, the Indian Pancreas Club and the Crohn's and Colitis Foundation of India, a member of ECCO and ESGE, and consults in Telugu, English, Hindi and Tamil.
