Dr. Govind Eriat is a Consultant Haematologist and Bone Marrow Transplant (BMT) Physician at Gleneagles BGS Hospital, Kengeri, Bengaluru, working across medical oncology, hemato-oncology and stem-cell transplantation.
He has been involved in more than 400 bone marrow and stem-cell transplants, including matched-unrelated-donor, haploidentical and mismatched allogeneic transplants.
He has a particular interest in managing complex and difficult cytopenias, and in performing bloodless transplant protocols for patients such as Jehovah's Witnesses who decline blood products.
Beyond classical haematology, he also works on stem-cell-based approaches for neuro-regenerative conditions such as multiple sclerosis, and has published on invasive fungal infections and stem-cell mobilisation failure in transplant patients.
