In 2018 he completed the Visiting Physician Programme in Otology and Skull Base Surgery at the House Ear Institute, Los Angeles, and he has served as guest visiting faculty at LSU Shreveport, Louisiana.
- His otology and implantation practice includes tympanoplasty, myringoplasty, mastoidectomy, stapedotomy including laser stapedotomy, ossiculoplasty, atresia repair and facial nerve surgery, along with cochlear implants, middle ear implants and bone-anchored hearing devices for patients with severe hearing loss. In skull base surgery he performs subtotal petrosectomy, surgery for temporal bone and jugular fossa tumours, translabyrinthine and transcochlear approaches, endoscopic CSF leak repair, endoscopic pituitary surgery and optic nerve decompression.
- He also has wide experience in rhinology, including septoplasty, FESS, endoscopic DCR and orbital decompression, and in laryngology and airway surgery, including microlaryngeal surgery for vocal cord lesions, management of spasmodic dysphonia, laryngotracheal stenosis repair, tracheal resection and tracheostomy decannulation. His paediatric ENT work covers adenotonsillectomy, tongue-tie release, choanal atresia repair and branchial cysts, and he manages vertigo and dizziness, performs sleep endoscopy and operates on thyroid, parathyroid and head and neck cancers.
- Dr. Nayak won First Prize in the Junior Consultant Award Paper at ISOCON 2024, the Best Oral Paper at CIGICON 2024 and Second Prize in the Rhinocon Quiz 2014. He has delivered invited talks at NESCON, AOICON and IAOHNS workshops and presented internationally at AAOHNS 2019 and 2023, the European Laryngology Congress 2018 and the American Thoracic Society 2017.
