She performs bronchoscopy, thoracoscopy, intercostal drainage and other pleural procedures for diagnosis and treatment.
- With her FCCS training she is experienced in respiratory critical care, including non-invasive and mechanical ventilation, airway management and intubation, central venous catheterisation and the management of ARDS. In sleep medicine she evaluates and treats sleep disorders such as obstructive sleep apnoea, including CPAP therapy.
- Dr. Sandhya has around 10 journal publications on TB-HIV co-infection, interstitial lung disease, bronchiectasis, lung abscess and sleep apnoea with COPD, and presented at the European Respiratory Society Congress and the World Sleep Congress in 2017. She is a member of the Indian Chest Society, European Respiratory Society and Asian Pacific Society of Respirology.
