These techniques allow airway obstructions to be relieved and lung or mediastinal diseases to be diagnosed without open chest surgery.
- In critical care he manages invasive and non-invasive ventilation, ICU bronchoscopy, ultrasound-guided ICU procedures and tracheostomy. In sleep medicine he performs sleep studies, CPAP/BiPAP titration and management of obstructive sleep apnoea.
- Dr. Acharyulu has published on tuberculosis and COVID-19, the diagnostic yield of ultrasound-guided versus thoracoscopic pleural biopsy, comorbidity scores in advanced non-small cell lung cancer, chronic pulmonary melioidosis and sleep apnoea and testosterone levels. He is ACLS and BLS certified and a life member of the Indian Association of Bronchology.
