He then moved to Delhi, working as Associate Consultant in Surgical Oncology at Indraprastha Apollo Hospital (2003 to 2004) and as Senior Consultant at Batra Hospital, New Delhi (2004 to 2012), before returning to Indraprastha Apollo Hospital as Senior Consultant - Surgical Oncology from 2012 to 2026, prior to joining Max Healthcare.
- He has broad expertise across solid tumour surgery, with a special interest in head and neck cancers, breast cancer surgery, thyroid and parathyroid tumours and parotid tumours. His practice also covers urological cancers, soft tissue and bone tumours, thoracic cancers and gastrointestinal cancers.
- Dr. Garg performs cytoreductive surgery (CRS) with hyperthermic intraperitoneal chemotherapy (HIPEC), an advanced treatment for selected cancers that have spread to the lining of the abdomen, in which all visible tumour is removed surgically and heated chemotherapy is then circulated within the abdominal cavity.
- He has authored 5 publications in reputed national and international journals and regularly writes patient-education articles on cancer awareness, diagnosis and prevention. He is a member of the Oncology Leadership Opinion Group and the Indian Society of Oncology (ISO).
