- Before joining Max Patparganj, he was Associate Director of Surgical Oncology at Jaypee Hospital, Noida, covering head and neck, breast, gynaecological, thoracic, gastrointestinal and uro-oncology as well as laparoscopic and robotic surgery. He has also worked as Consultant in Surgical Oncology at Max Super Speciality Hospital, Vaishali and as Senior Resident in Surgery at Maulana Azad Medical College & Lok Nayak Hospital.
- His areas of interest include head and neck, breast, gastrointestinal, thoracic, gynaecological and genitourinary cancers, bone and soft tissue tumours, uniportal video-assisted thoracoscopic surgery (VATS) and transoral and transaxillary endoscopic thyroid and parathyroid surgery. Minimally invasive and robotic approaches allow many cancers to be removed through small incisions with less pain and faster recovery.
- Dr. Leekha has more than 20 publications in national and international journals, including research on chemoradiation in bladder cancer and on laparoscopic Nissen and Toupet fundoplication, and has delivered guest lectures at national and international conferences.
