- She is credited as the first gynaecologist in India to perform robotic gynaecological surgery for both cancerous and benign conditions. Her practice covers cancers of the uterus, cervix, fallopian tubes, ovaries, vulva and vagina, along with advanced laparoscopic surgery for endometriosis, fibroids, ovarian cysts and hysterectomy, colposcopy and operative hysteroscopy, and aesthetic gynaecology.
- Dr. Gupta is a dedicated teacher who has trained many gynaecologists in laparoscopic and robotic surgery. She is a postgraduate teacher registered with the National Board of Examinations and runs the DNB Gynae Oncology programme. She served as President of AOGIN India (2020-22) and of the Fertility Preservation Society of India (2018-20), and is a member of the International Gynaecological Cancer Society, the European Society of Gynaecological Oncology and the American Society of Clinical Oncology.
- Her work has earned numerous honours, including Best Gynaec Robotic Surgeon of the Year (2012), Best Gynaec Robotic Surgeon of North India (2015), the Bharat Nirman Super Achiever Award in Medicine (2011) and the Mother Teresa Excellence Award (2012). She has contributed to several books and journals and writes for patients on the prevention of cervical, uterine and ovarian cancers.
