He also performs vascular trauma reconstruction of the upper and lower limbs and manages arteriovenous and venous malformations.
- In venous disease he offers catheter-directed and mechanical thrombolysis for deep vein thrombosis and modern minimally invasive varicose vein treatments such as endovenous laser ablation, radiofrequency ablation, glue therapy and foam sclerotherapy, along with care of venous ulcers. As a diabetic foot specialist he manages non-healing ulcers with offloading, corrective osteotomies, claw toe tenotomy, vacuum-assisted closure and PRP therapy, with the aim of saving limbs. He also creates and salvages dialysis access, including AV fistulas, AV grafts and PermCath insertion, and performs fistula and central vein angioplasty.
- Dr. Vinay Kumar has published in the Indian Journal of Vascular and Endovascular Surgery on carotid body tumour management, stem cell therapy in no-option chronic limb-threatening ischaemia, the role of revascularisation in diabetic foot ulcers, and outcomes of vascular mimetic stents in long femoral artery lesions. He received the Best Paper Award at VAICON 2023, Kolkata for his work on long-term arteriovenous fistula patency, has presented at VSI Midterm Conference 2024 and VSICON 2024, and is a member of the Vascular Society of India.
