He performed the world's first cruciate-retaining knee replacement with an active robot, recognised by the World Book of Records (London), the International Book of Records and the India Book of Records, and entered the Limca Book of Records for hip surgery on a 104-year-old patient. He was invited as guest faculty for the first active robotic total knee replacement in Kazakhstan and leads a Centre of Excellence for the MISSO robotic system.
- His research covers outcomes of knee arthroplasty after incidental tuberculosis, hip replacement in severe haemophilia A and ochronosis, robotic versus conventional knee replacement, and computer navigation-assisted knee replacement with fracture fixation. He is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, the American College of Surgeons, the International College of Surgeons, the Indian Orthopaedic Association and the Indian Society of Hip and Knee Surgeons.
