- He served as a cardiologist at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital of Birmingham University till 1988
- He returned to India in 1988 and joined the Fortis Escorts Heart Institute, New Delhi (1998-2004)
- Worked with Max Healthcare 2004-2008.
- In 2008 resume his duties in Fortis Healthcare tothere as the chief cardiologist and the chairman of its Cardiac Sciences Division
