- He completed a fellowship in Interventional Neuroradiology under Professor Jacques Moret at the Fondation Adolphe de Rothschild, Paris, France in 2002, and trained in the use of the Onyx embolic agent for cerebral arteriovenous malformations and aneurysms under Professor Saruhan Cekirge at Hacettepe Hospital, Ankara, Turkey in 2004.
- His experience spans neurovascular, gastrointestinal and hepatopancreatobiliary, peripheral vascular and genitourinary interventions. He has performed more than 7,000 angiographic and interventional procedures, including over 3,000 neuro-angiographic and neuro-interventional procedures.
- His expertise includes endovascular management of complex cerebral aneurysms and cerebral and spinal vascular malformations, endovascular therapy for acute stroke and stroke prevention, Budd-Chiari interventions and TIPSS, and hepatic embolisation including radioembolisation. He is credited with pioneering work in the treatment of paediatric Budd-Chiari syndrome.
