- He has been part of more than 1,000 liver transplants and has performed over 500 complex hepatobiliary surgeries and more than 200 small-incision midline donor hepatectomies. His experience includes over 100 paediatric liver transplants, with the smallest recipient weighing 4 kg, and more than 50 complex transplants such as SWAP living donor transplants, ABO-incompatible transplants, simultaneous liver-kidney transplants and domino and split deceased donor transplants. He was part of the first successful triple SWAP liver transplant in India in 2022.
- His expertise extends to robotic liver surgery including robotic living donor hepatectomy, and to complex hepatobiliary conditions such as hilar cholangiocarcinoma, hepatocellular carcinoma, portal hypertension requiring shunt surgery, biliary atresia, choledochal cysts, biliary strictures and biliary tract cancers. He has trained more than 50 surgeons and serves as international faculty.
- Dr. Chaudhary has around 20 publications in journals such as Transplantation and the Journal of Hepato-Biliary-Pancreatic Sciences, where one of his papers was a Top Downloaded Paper in 2020. He received the Japanese Society of Hepato-Biliary and Pancreatic Surgery Scholarship (2017), the IASG Bursary Award (2016) and a travel grant to Asan Medical Center, South Korea (2019). He is a life member of the Association of Surgeons of India, the Indian Association of Surgical Gastroenterology, AMASI and the Indian Chapter of IHPBA, a member of IHPBA and ILTS, and a founder member of the Liver Transplant Society of India.
