- In hepato-pancreato-biliary surgery she performs liver and biliary resections for hepatocellular carcinoma, cholangiocarcinoma, gallbladder cancer and colorectal liver metastases, extended hepatectomy, pancreatoduodenectomy and pancreatic surgery with vascular reconstruction, surgery for chronic calcific and acute pancreatitis, repair of post-cholecystectomy bile duct injuries and strictures, portal hypertension shunt surgery and laparoscopic and robotic cholecystectomy.
- Dr. Bhatt has published in journals including the Annals of Hepato-Biliary-Pancreatic Surgery, the Journal of Clinical and Experimental Hepatology and HPB, on topics such as incidental gallbladder carcinoma, machine perfusion in liver transplantation and absorbable biliary stents, and has contributed book chapters on liver and pancreas transplantation. She won second place for a scientific paper at ASIRAJ 2013, and her motto is "Anything is possible".
