- His international training includes a UICC (ICRETT) fellowship at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, USA (2002), a visiting fellowship in bariatric surgery at the University of Minnesota (2011), a CICOPS fellowship at the University of Pavia, Italy (2022), and clinical observerships in hepatobiliary surgery and liver transplantation at the University of Birmingham and in laparoscopic surgery at the University of Dundee, UK (1996).
- He performs laparoscopic and robotic surgery for gallbladder disease, hernias, achalasia cardia, GERD and hiatal hernia, obesity, and diseases of the stomach, small intestine and colon. His thoracic work includes VATS and robotic thymectomy, lung resections, mediastinal mass excision, diaphragmatic hernia repair and oesophagectomy. He also performs endocrine surgery (thyroidectomy, parathyroidectomy and adrenalectomy) and breast surgery for both cancer and benign conditions.
- Dr. Parshad has published widely, with recent papers in Surgical Endoscopy, World Journal of Surgery, Trials and the Indian Journal of Thoracic and Cardiovascular Surgery on long-term outcomes of laparoscopic Heller's myotomy for achalasia, minimally invasive thymectomy, sentinel lymph node biopsy in breast cancer and thoracolaparoscopic repair of diaphragmatic hernias. He delivered the Indian Hernia Society Oration (2011), the ASI Delhi State Chapter Oration (2018), the Professor D.C. Goel Guest Lecture at KGMU (2019) and the Professor Mehmooda Khan Oration at J&K ASICON 2026 on 30 years of experience with achalasia cardia.
