- Dr. Shah started the intraoperative neuromonitoring (IONM) service at Jaslok Hospital and founded the Clinical Neurophysiology departments at Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital and Surya Hospital. She initiated a comprehensive IONM programme in Mumbai, which helps protect the brain, spinal cord and nerves during high-risk neurosurgical and spine operations. Her expertise spans adult and paediatric EEG, EMG and evoked potentials across all age groups, including newborns.
- She has published in the Annals of Indian Academy of Neurology and JICNA on topics including transcranial motor evoked potential monitoring in high-risk brain and spine surgery, congenital myasthenic syndrome, Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease and myasthenia gravis. She is a member of the Clinical Neurophysiology subsection of the Indian Academy of Neurology and the Indian Academy of Paediatrics, and contributes to training programmes across all neurophysiology subspecialties.
