She treats infertility by all modalities, including microsurgery, endoscopic (laparoscopic and hysteroscopic) surgery, IVF and allied assisted reproduction procedures such as IUI and ICSI.
- Her training in Belgium was under pioneers of the field, including Prof. Willy Boeckx in microsurgery and Prof. Andre Van Steirteghem, Prof. Paul Devroey and Prof. Herman Tournaye in assisted reproduction. She was the first trained gynaecological microsurgeon in India.
- A pioneer of Indian reproductive medicine, she helped establish one of the first four IVF centres in India in 1989 and witnessed the birth of the first IVF baby in India that year, the first IVF babies through egg donation in 1990 and the first ICSI babies in 1997. She has managed more than 5,000 pregnancies achieved with fertility treatment.
