He undertook a fellowship in neonatology of about 18 months in the Level 3 NICU of Fortis La Femme Hospital, Greater Kailash-2, earning the NNF Fellowship. His neonatal expertise includes resuscitation of newborns at birth and the management of preterm babies, who often need breathing support, careful nutrition and close monitoring in intensive care.
Dr. Mohsin is skilled in a wide range of critical care procedures, including PICC line and arterial line placement, umbilical catheterisation, exchange transfusion, endotracheal intubation, ventilator management, lumbar puncture, intra-osseous needle insertion and peritoneal dialysis. He also performs thoracocentesis, ascitic and ventricular taps, bone marrow aspiration and liver, kidney and bone marrow biopsies, and is experienced in PICU management.
He has completed Paediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) training at LLRM Medical College, Meerut, and the National Neonatology Forum's neonatal resuscitation workshop, and has attended academic programmes on paediatric nephrology, heart failure and arrhythmias, and paediatric hepatology at ILBS, New Delhi. He is also involved in an ongoing randomised controlled trial on human milk fortification in extremely preterm infants.
