After his training in India, Dr. Ranjan completed the RCPCH MTI Fellowship in Neonatology from 2017 to 2019 at the Royal Victoria Infirmary, Newcastle upon Tyne, one of the largest quaternary-level neonatal intensive care units in northern England. During his time in the United Kingdom he also passed the MRCPCH examination of the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health, London.
He has extensive experience in managing extremely premature babies and complex surgical newborns in Level 3 NICU settings. His special interests are neonatal nutrition and non-invasive ventilation, which supports a baby's breathing through nasal interfaces rather than a breathing tube and helps reduce lung injury in preterm infants.
Beyond intensive care, Dr. Ranjan runs paediatric and neonatal outpatient services, general paediatrics, vaccination and follow-up of normal and high-risk newborns. He is a Neonatal Resuscitation Programme trainer through IAP-NNF and a national trainer for the IAP Vaccinology Module, and has taught DNB paediatrics postgraduates and nursing students.
He has national and international publications, won second prize in the All India Poster Presentation at Neocon 2015, Patna, and is a member of the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health, the Indian Academy of Paediatrics, the National Neonatology Forum, the Noida Neonatology Forum, the Indian Medical Association and the Academy of Paediatrics, Noida. Popular with parents across Delhi-NCR for his logical and scientific approach, he places strong emphasis on family-centred care.
