He routinely uses ultrasound-guided nerve blocks and cannulation, and fibreoptic and video laryngoscope intubation for difficult airways.
- He has worked with the renal and liver transplant anaesthesia teams and contributed to hand transplant surgeries at Gleneagles. He is also experienced in anaesthesia for obstetric, neurosurgical, general surgical and orthopaedic emergencies, and for patients with morbid obesity undergoing bariatric surgery.
- His academic work includes a phase 3 clinical trial comparing dexmedetomidine with propofol for post-operative ICU sedation and analgesia at Seth GSMC and KEM Hospital (2009), a DNB thesis comparing epidural bupivacaine and ropivacaine for post-operative pain relief (2013), and a case report on thoracic epidural anaesthesia presented at ISACON 2009, Chennai.
