Her practice focuses on infectious diseases and sepsis, a life-threatening response to infection that can cause organ failure, and on advanced haemodynamic monitoring to guide fluids, vasopressors and other supportive therapies in unstable patients. She works across medical and cardiac intensive care settings (MICU and ICCU) and in the respiratory ICU, managing patients with respiratory failure who need ventilator or non-invasive breathing support.
Dr. Anusha also has interests in emergency and trauma care and in anaesthesia and pain management. At ISACON 2022 she presented a paper comparing intrathecal levobupivacaine and ropivacaine for spinal anaesthesia in lower limb surgery, and a poster on the anaesthetic management of a three-year-old child with cutis laxa undergoing surgery for an obstructed hernia.
She is a member of the Indian Society of Critical Care Medicine, the Indian Society of Anaesthesiologists and the Indian Medical Association, and consults in English, Telugu and Hindi.
