As a general physician he manages complex multi-system illnesses, diabetes, hypertension, infections, endocrine disorders and undiagnosed medical problems.
- He has published widely, with papers on idiopathic granulomatous hypophysitis, pituitary tuberculoma, rhino-cerebral mucormycosis, cerebral venous thrombosis, Gaucher disease, Klippel-Trenaunay syndrome and kerosene poisoning, and more recent work on NT-proBNP and canagliflozin in type 2 diabetes.
- He has also been a medical columnist for 25 years in leading Mumbai newspapers including Midday, Inquilab and Mumbai Mirror, wrote the opening chapter of the book Dear People With Love and Care, Your Doctors, and is a member of the Association of Physicians of India and the Cardiological Society of India.
