What is UGI Endoscopy?

It will normally take 15 to 30 minutes for the Endoscopy procedure. The time of the endoscopy will differ based on the problem found out through it. It varies based on complexity.
How long it takes to recover from UGI endoscopy?
The recovery is not as long for surgery. After the test, it will take 30 to 40 minutes for the recovery. For that period the patient will be asked to be in the recovery area for further examination.
Can I eat after UGI Endoscopy?
For the next 24 to 48 hours avoid heavy meals. You can eat light meals that are easy to digest like juice, soups, etc… After you feel back to normal you can follow your diet.
