What is a colonoscopy?

How long will it take to recover from colonoscopy?
Normally all the patients will be back to normal life after 24 hours. You will be kept in the recovery area for 60 to 90 minutes. It is not advisable to take flight for the first 48 hours after the colonoscopy.

Your doctor may recommend you to eat partially or not according to your condition. For the next days, you should eat light meals and fluid foods that don't affect your colon. After you feel normal you can start eating as per diet.
Will I be in sleep during the process?
You will lie left-hand side in the bed during the process. You will be given seductive through the tube in your hand. You will fall asleep or in a seductive state where you will not feel pain.
How long I should in the toilet after colonoscopy prep?
You will have the bowel movement within the 3 hours of the intake of the prep. If it didn't happen then you should take another dose of prep.
Can I return to work after the colonoscopy?

You may have diarrhea for a few hours after the process, you can also feel the gas sensation. Walking will help you to release the gas if these effects last more than 3 hours than you should inform your doctor.
